I'm writing this just to advise that you might be waiting for an answer that is not forthcoming. There were formerly a couple of current Dealer techs who participated in this Forum that had access, but they do not appear to be currently active.
Comments from others in your situation generally reveal that Dealers will (and should) provide Jaguar service histories to current owners, but that information is considered as confidential to all others. If you do not receive an answer here, direct your inquiry to a Jaguar Dealer: barring success from those options, your last one is to rely on Carfax or any information you can coax from the present owner.

If you are talking to me, I can't do anything you can't do from your computer, except type coherent messages.
I was trying to help you, so you didn't wait for days in expectation of an answer that you will probably not get. Nobody poisoned the well, If a reader steps up with an answer then you're all set.
The used car dealer is the present owner of the car. Ask him to contact Jaguar and request a service history. I don't know of a reason why that won't work, but I haven't been employed at a Jaguar dealership since 1990.
I bought a '98 VDP a while back: the private owner told me a rebuilt engine had been installed at a Jaguar Dealer. I believed it when I read the factory printout that I asked him to obtain.

Does the car lot's website listing provide a free CARFAX link? If not, ask the dealer to provide a CARFAX report and/or a Jaguar service history report. You may also want to see if your insurance company can run a report to see if the vehicle was in an accident if the dealer isn't forthcoming.
Good luck

I got a carfax on this car, but it really does not say much in terms of what exactly was done to the car. It just says "manufacturers recommended maintenance" done and the mileage. However, It has 73k miles now and the last maintenance entry in the carfax was at 33k. So the last owner (owner 3) has not done anything with it since 33k. I am not sure that carfax will reveal repairs.
