Can the Tyre Pressure System be turned off?

I am really not bothered about having this facility, and the wheels I have on the car right now do not have the sensors fitted, so I permanently have warnings flashing on the screen with the amber light. Can I tell my car somehow to not use this system so a) i don't need to look at the warnings and b) avoid having to pay to install sensors?

You need someone with an IDS/SDD (dealer diagnostic kit) they can turn off the TPMS.
Or alternatively if you disconnect the TPMS module, the warning lights should disappear. I think....
The TPMS module is in the boot, on the right hand side behind the carpet, apparently, never actually seen one before...

It's item 1 in the parts diagram above...one blue & one grey plug into it.

OK I had a look last night, full of excitement, only to be stopped in my tracks because the elec unit I assumed this was referring to, looks a bit different, and has loads of electrical connections, not just 2. The one I was looking at is labelled "Rear Electronics Module" or something similar, am I looking in the wrong place? It's basically opposite the CD changer/Nav area.

I found it! It's on the left hand side, in the wheel well the same side as the CD/Nav unit is mounted.
So I pulled the 2 wires out and after a restart the messages disappeared! Amazing....until 10 mins passed and they came back...so not sure if disconnecting the unit can actually help, or whether 1 lot of the wires can be plugged back in?
I did have 1 thought, but I have no idea if this is even possible. 1 of the plugs presumably is the feed from the sensors themselves, I guess attached to some sort of bluetooth type thing where the signal is received. Now, my thought involved fooling that into thinking it was getting a good signal, somehow? Anyone tried this?

Does anyone have any more advice on this issue?
Reason being is that I could do with replacing the rear tyres, if not all 4, so I don't want to shell out on that if I need to have the sensors taken off the old wheels and put on the new ones. I'd much rather turn the system off, or permanently fool it into thinking all is well.
Any help or advice welcome. Even if it's just to tell me I need to swap the sensors over and stop whining!
