Can you identify the fan that's flattening my battery please?
Hi,
Last week I had flat battery in the morning. Very, very flat.
I attached jump leads and noticed a fan whirring loudly. It's located under the offside headlights. Looking from below there is a hole in the bumper where the bottom of the fan can be seen and I've attached a picture.
I tapped the bottom of the fan where I guess a relay is located with the end of a screwdriver and it stopped. Since then I have been checking as I leave the car that the fan isn't running on and seeing how things go.
Yesterday morning a flat battery again. I know the fan wasn't running when I left the car and I passed the car later in the evening and didn't hear it. It's quite loud and I was listening for it. I attached jump leads and sure enough it's running again. This time tapping it didn't work but a few miles of driving did.
Anyway, could anyone identify what fan this is from the picture and description please? Anyone else had this issue? Any advice would be very helpful.
Cheers.
