Just got a new REM (Rear Electriical Module) fitted to my car and because they disconnected the battery I don't have the Radio code. Can anyone help.

Any dealer can look it up - typically they don't charge.

I read this a while ago, not tried it but maybe worth a go !

Enter any code 3 times so that the display shows "PLEASE WAIT "
Simultaneously press

">>" "PTY" "A.MEM"

Should only take 2 or 3 seconds and the radio turns on.

As mentioned I have not tried it but it was posted on a forum or Facebook Jaguar page and I thought it would be handy to keep for the future !
Best of luck

Try looking in the back of your Touchscreen Manual; a thoughtful previous owner had written the code for my car in there?
Just in case?

Good idea Ray,

Never needed the code for either of mine when disconnecting the battery.

They just came back on with the power restored.

Here in the states, the presets are saved as well

But i never replaced the module either.

Did you leave the radio on?
Think it has to be left on for a specified time if memory serves.

Some radio's keep extending the 'please wait' period each time you enter an incorrect code. Best to go to the dealer and get the right code. Some do charge though. They are not always free and dealers normally need to see some evidence that you own the car before they will hand over the code.

Thanks for the update, as mentioned I had not needed to try it for myself but had seen it mentioned so thought it may have been worth suggesting

310Jag,

I will have to wait till tomorrow to try the suggested code as when I tried it last night with the code in the manual (which was hand written 4143) I will have to wait another 24hrs before it will let me enter another code.

Will let you know if it works once I get chance to try it. Thanks

313jag

Thank you very much for your message. Just got in the car at 07:00 this morning heading to London (from Aberdeen to London) by the time a got to Dundee (70 miles) the car gave me an opportunity to enter not he code which was the code you gave me and it worked. Satnav / radio and CD all worked 100%. Thank you very much.

If you ever come to Aberdeen (Scotland) I have a Pint and a large (spirit ) with your name on it.

Thank you very much.
