Hi there,
I´m in trouble. Read alot and followed the instructions on DIY Max Performance for cleaning carburator and part load breather. All went well, the carburator wasent so dirty but the hole in part load breather was stucked and I used a 2,5mm drill to rotate and press though the hole will it has a free passage. Hope I did not pushed it too deep - but was careful. The plastic cab for part load breather cracked and onw I´ve just pushed in on as solid as I could..seems ok but properly needs a new one.
Now intake hosed and all are cleaned and dryed - and I tries to start the car (started perfectly before - but has this "engine stall at hi-ways" problem which were the reason for me to try cleaning everything.
Now - I can start but it goes out all the time - sound like the oil/air mixture is wrong or something and I cant drive at all.
Any ideas what to check...could it be wrong assample of the hoses ...need to fix it asap since I use the car every day - and now I regret trying to clean things up.
All suggestions are very welcome..thanks

Well, Bongobrown, my first suggestion is to re-post in the X308 forum the one for your car.
My second suggestion is to ask yourself if you really do have a 1999 car, because carburettors went out in the 80s. It is all fuel injection nowadays. Last Jaguar to have carburettors was the XJ6 Series 2
