Exclamation Catalytic Converter thats not $1000 ...?

I have the dreaded p1000 and p1647 codes and from what I have read its time for a new cat ... My 2004 XKR has 120k with the factory cats .... i am looking for any info on possibly replacing them for less than the factory 1000 a pop... .... Thanks for the help!!!

P1000 does not in itself indicate a fault. P1647 may be nothing more than a bad oxygen sensor or bad oxygen sensor wiring. I would check that first.

It is cheaper than replacing the cats, and probably wise to do anyway when replacing the cats with the kind of mileage you have.

In any event the Nameless Performance cats SteveM references are a nice upgrade!
