CATS System Fault

Hey everybody,
I have the car secured with all windows up. it locks now. It no longer gives me a low coolant message the power steering is working, and I got to take her out for a ride today...all codes were clear and I was driving along when I got an intermittent yellow flash with a CATS System Fault. Now it's on steady by the time we get home Anyone have a clue on this? I had fixed a little plastic tube that was giving me a MAF "A" fault. now I have never encountered a CATS System. I believe it is the Catalytic converters portion of the exhaust system. or possibly the O2 sensors. I don't know.
Oh By The Way when your cruising she floats like a cloud, but when your stopped she is as heavy as I remember them to be.
Thanks in advance for your knowledge

CATS is the suspension system. The shocks can switch from soft response to stiff based on reading from the height sensors and some accelerometers placed around the car. Lots of motion will generally have the system switch to stiff, for better control and response.
There is no troubleshooting without a code scanner. You have to know what the DTCs are. (Diagnostic Trouble Codes.)

If the CATS System Fault persists, buy this: 20pcs Metal Film Resistor 1W 1% 1K ohm 1Kohm 1KΩ | eBay (With all due respect to Forum Member WWR).
Push both ends of the resistor's wires into the female receptors of each of your Air Shock electrical connectors in turn, checking to see if the fault disappears when turning on the ignition; if it does, you have diagnosed a fault with that particular shocks ECATS solenoid?
The resistor 'cons' the Air Suspension Module (ASM) into believing all is fine with your ECATS System...
Believe me, this will be far quicker than attempting to do all the Pinpoint Tests in the workshop manual!
Personally, I have (very reluctantly and purely a financial decision) given up on ECATS and have one of these resistors on all four Air-Shocked corners!
If I was back in the UK and keeping a RHD version of this beautiful last-of-the-line cars for life, I would buy the Bilstein's in a heartbeat!

If your code scanner is not capable of looking for codes other than P, than you need another scanner. A basic OBD-II scanner will only read powertrain codes, but will not have access to the other modules in the car. If the menu of the scanner does not allow you to select other syste,s such as air suspension, park brake, audio, etc. then it's not going to tell you anything useful about the suspension errors. Suspension DTCs will start with a C, for Chassis.

I use this as a reasonably priced solution: iCarsoft LR V1.0 LandRover&Jaguar Auto Diagnostic Tool ABS SRS Oil reset,SAS | eBay
By no means perfect, but does give all the Jaguar-specific Codes?
