"Cats System Fault" after Arrnott Suspension replacement
#21
I need to replace the front shocks on my 2008 Super V8 and was looking at the new Arnott's AS-2519. However after speaking to the tech (who got confirmation from someone else on this too) at Arnott, even though the description says the shocks fits cars with comfort and sport suspension, THESE new shocks make the ride a comfort suspension...ie. they fit but will not give you a sport suspension?
Actually, they are somewhere in between. The Arnott design fits both Comfort & Sport and will bypass thecomfort or sport function on the dash. With the OEM air shocks, the shocks have to be specificallyfor the comfort or sport model and you’d have to match it up to the suspensionpackage on the vehicle (Comfort or Sport). However The Arnott replacements use Bilstein shocksand fits both models. While Bilstein shocks are known for their sporty feel the ride of the Arnott replacements for the Jag is more of a neutral ride between the two.

We use arnott at our shop and I know if you cycle the ignition on before unplugging the suspension module you have to insert a paper clip into the 4 harness connectors thet were disconnected from the old struts and with the module connected you can clear all codes then disconnect the suspension module and that solves the cats warning
