It's the upper front dash vent.
Thats what I was afraid of.
Ordered a repair manual on CD from EBay today.
What a lot of work for such an easy fix once out.
Amazing...
Thanks for the response !

You need to remove the centre console, the wood panel over the instrument cluster, then the instrument cluster plastic cover, the right side wood panel along with the airbag (you don't have to unhook it) and the little airbag light that pokes through the wood panel, then the centre vent. Not all that difficult the wood dash panels snap off (be careful) and everything else is Phillips screws (or small torx, I can't remember). Removing the console is not that difficult either. I replaced my centre vent a while ago for the same reason as you and it took me about an hour total. I bought a new centre vent off e bay, and then repaired the old one for a spare. You need to take the centre vent apart once it out to glue the chrome knob back on to the lever that controls the vanes.

Thanks Stu...
Would you happen to know if there is anything online for instructions on the process ?
Have the workshop manual coming, but won't see it for a couple of weeks.
Thanks again for your help !
