Default Central Dash Unlock Button Doesn't Work

I am having an issue with unlocking the doors on my ‘07 VDP. When I drop my son off at school he can not open his back door because it is locked. When I push the lock/unlock button on the dash it clicks, but all the doors stay locked. If I pull on my door handle it unlocks all of the doors, but if he pulls on his nothing happens.

After the doors are unlocked pushing the lock/unlock button on the dash re-locks everything. It just does not seem to want to unlock them.

Is this a programming issue or is something malfunctioning? I can not find anything in the manual about programming it this way specifically.

Thanks for any insight.

Is the child lock on? Easy mistake to make!
Although i believe the doors should still unlock from the centre button, so i could be wrong there.
If you hear a click, then there's obviously a connection being made.
Maybe there's a air leak in the system? Mine is the older style vacuum lock system, but i don't know if your newer one has the same.

No, the child locks are not engaged. The door will open from the inside once I pull the drivers door handle to get the other doors unlocked.

Can anyone else tell me if the rear doors will automatically unlock when the rear door handles are pulled? Even if your car is in gear?

I just went out and played with the car for a little while. I noticed when I locked the car in any form (dash button, key fob, or just putting in drive) the passenger front door lock was not moving. It was staying in the unlock position. I locked it manually by pushing on it and then unlocked it by pulling on the passenger front door handle.

Now the whole system works fine. The front passenger lock must have been stuck and sending some signal to the system that would not unlock the other doors.

I am not going to try and figure out British electrical gremlins. I am just happy everything is working right now.
