Default Changing out overhead panel

I'm looking to change out the eyeglass cubby and the bezel around the switch panel from my fabric version to the Burl wood type. Anyone know of a source that won't break the bank? Or... is anyone interested in a swap?

Rufus

Hi, I did not know there was a burl wood option for that eyeglass holder part on the X350 cars. Please post a pic if you find a burl wood one.

The roof console is the same on the later S-Types as well.

The veneer is held on with double-sided tape, I pulled one apart recently. The easiest way to get it apart was put the whole console in an oven (i set the oven to 60°C) which will soften the adhesive without melting the plastic. Then with a thin plastic scraper, just work the adhesive loose.

As for where to get one, the veneer was not available to buy separately AFAIK, so your best bet will be to have a look on ebay.

A new console is $$$$ so 2nd hand will be the most economical way to go.

EDIT

A picture of the actual console here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...20/#post934890 but it's been sold.

EDIT again, couple on ebay right now
