Default Charging point

Hello

I do not use my X350 that often and for that reason I have connected it to a trickle changer in the boot.

Problem is that i need to park my car at an incline towards the garage meaning water is gathering in the cavities towards the rear screen. Consequently it leaks through the seam where plates are bonded and into the boot.

parking my car the other way around would party solve the problem, but then the cord to the changer is then too short.

Are there any connection points under the bonnet which could be used, alternatively cigarette lighter??

None that i know of sorry, but an inexpensive alternative could be
Making an extension cord, from an old appliance.
Often see old washers, vacuum sweepers, etc.
Setting on the curb trash day, many with their cords still attached.

You need some clear rtv sealant and put it into the seams both top side and underneath in the boot. Mine leaked here and destroyed the amp.

The seams are sealed and car seems to not leak anymore. Also connected charger in the engine bay. Used the maxi fuse connection for + connection and the strut tower bolt for -. Now I can park the car with front towards the garage and charge the car and at the same time avoid water gathering under the boot when raining.
