Check engine light and airbag light on
Hi everyone.
I got 2 problems with my 04 vpd Xj8.
One I have a missfire on bank5.
And the passinger air bag reading is 2.4 ohms driver air bag is read at 4.7 ohms.
That's what I got with a icarsoft i930.
I am no good at electrical.
Could it be the coil on number bank 5?.
I was thinking of swapping the coil and checking if the miss firing moves.
And is it the ground on the seat?.
Any help or point me in the right direction.
Thanks guys?.
Any idea where to start looking.

As far as your airbag light is concerned, the flash code will give you more info.
Before the light stays on it will flash a certain number of times, then a pause, then a certain number of times. Then a longer gap and it will do it again. I think it does this three times before the light stays permanently on. The two sets of flashes give you two digits, 22 for example.
Tell us which flash code you're getting, Also if you have a carsoft reader you should be able to read the code on the restraints module. Again this might help to hone in on exactly where what the problem is. Usually the cause seems to be one of the connectors that needs taking apart and cleaning.
This was my experience which may be of some help in attacking your problem;

Good luck
