I started the car this morning and then it began to misfire. I got the codes for Random Misfires on Cylinder 4 and 5. The Exceeds Emission Standards code also went up, but no MAF code. It's very strange, but now I'm going to replace the coils on cylinder 4 & 5 and then buy the Jaguar MAF you mentioned on that website. In my area the dealer is charging $258 for the MAF, but I'm definitely going to use the website you sent me to save some money. Thank you!

Misfire can cause CEL on. This happen to me last month, P0101 code lite up. I replaced a Denso MAF from Monument car part. After replacement of MAF, P0101 went away but P0175 came on. So I took the MAF back and they kindly replaced with a new one. For now CEL went away. These are the things that I had done prior, was 1. check air filter to make sure it is clean 2. Remove air intake hose and clean all related attachment to it 3. Make sure no air leak 4. Check upper radiator hose to see if any suction 5. Check breather hose for leaks or lose. 6. Look to see at the fuel rail any leaking fuels. 6. Check and Tighten up exhausted bolts(4 of them). 7. The other thing I learned from the forum here with the many assistance from fellow member is to learn to read the short and long term Fuel trim, it really teach you a lot on your car.

Hi Jayson. So I got a new correct MAF sensor and replaced the coils and the car runs fine again. I checked all the items you mentioned above and everything is good. However, the P0101 code continues to pop up after driving about 50 miles. I cleared and reset the computer only to have the same code re-occurring. Why would this continue to happen? Should I just take it to the dealer now to find out what's going on?
