Looks good, but Ben Willcox goes ones step further and replaced the screen with a better quality one:

Ah hey Alec how's it going!

Yes as Alec says I have done a conversion to add an Android system to the Jag touchscreen in a completely seamless way, no external buttons needed to use it and it looks completely factory. It means you can run up to date navigation and play music through the standard Jaguar stereo system.
Here's a vid about it here:

And then a followup when I added bluetooth streaming and integration with the steering wheel controls for track skip forward/backwards:

Cheers,
Ben

Hi Ben
Thank you for the very interesting and detailed post on the Android conversion
Unfortunately I am a carpenter and have little experience with resistors etc so is there someone or a company that would do this conversion for me
Thanks once again
Andy

Hi Andrew I'm considering the possibility of offering this as a service. Send me a PM and we can discuss further.

Cheers,
Ben

I'm sure many here would purchase a ready-made plug-n-play kit if it were available...myself included.

Default S Type Audio Sat Nav Upgrade kit

I agree it would be great I did look for all the parts you tag in your conversion Ben and still I got confused lol
If you charged for putting the kit together and had payment before hand for your fees and parts etc so as you are not out of pocket buying parts I think you would get a lot of interest

Good evening, I'm currently upgrading my X350 entertainment system to include headrest monitors & DVD player, my car came from factory with the rear entertainment system fitted but without the DVD system.
I'm very interested in carrying out this type of upgrade to the system as well.
Do you mind if I P.M you regarding some help with this please Ben Willcox?

Sure no problem, I have replied to your PM. I've documented the process here Android upgrade to Jaguar Touchscreen for XJ X350/X358, S-Type and X-Type - HOWTO although it's evolved a bit since the first posts so can be a little hard to follow to get the latest version.
I also have a YouTube channel with a few videos about the conversion https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_u...3d44xtmbm-GvfQ
