Default Chrome trim replacement

Well, it looks like I may have my first Jaguar! I found a 2004 XJR, original owner, dealer serviced with full records, 85,000 miles. New tires, brakes, fully detailed. The only thing wrong is the chrome bumper strip front right. It is scratched noticeably and will need replacement.

How hard is this to do? Where is the best place to get a new one?

I will post pictures when I get it...hoping to fly out this week to drive it 20 hours home!

i would say best place is too look online at ebay or breakers normally around 50 quid uk not sure about US. Not worth buying new from jaguar or failing that to add something else could color code them.

The bumper has to come off, as they are secured at the back, not just stuck on. I believe some people have glued new ones them on using double-sided glue tape used to secure number plates . This is probably a reasonable thing to do, as my front plates are glued on and haven't fallen off ,(yet !).
