Cigar Lighters not working - Quick fix for front cigar lighter
Hello,
I just purchased a 2004 XJ8 that has a few faults including a bad non-serviceable relay in the rear fuse box that controls the cigar lighters.
I plan on stealing power from the front power port to re-activate the front cigar lighter. This solution will not fix the rear cigar lighter and will delete the front power port.
After this fix the car will have a rear power port and front cigar lighter working.
Here's the fix
Remove fuse F25
Remove fuse F44
Insert a 14awg jumper wire using male quick connects from line side of Fuse F25 to line side of Fuse F44.
This will restore power to the front cigar lighter but will disconnect the front power port located in the glove box.
Also, I would like to find a solution to replace the non-serviceable relays in the fuse boxes. If anyone has a bad fuse box they don't need, please pm me.
Regards,
Bonanza
