Hopefully this will help someone. My 2004 xj8 was getting a lot of water in the driver's side floorboard after rains. Open sunroof and locate small drain holes on all 4 corners..i stuck a thin wire down through each one..( standing water in track ) Whoosh ! Water drained like an unclogged drain..never another issue.

Some other pointers...
Pull the headliner down a bit, disconnect the line at the sunroof and shoot a blast of air through the hose from the sunroof end. (like only 10 psi)
Then reconnect with a dab of clear marine sealant on the plastic nipple. Rubber lines can drip as they fit loose on the drain nipple.
You can do the same with the rear drains.
I find using hot water helps dissolve the gook that collects.
I did all the above to my sunroof drains and not one drop of water now...
But before the above result...
All 4 of my sunroof drains were clogged.
Of course I found this out after a torrential storm when all my windows fogged up and I had 2" of water under all my seats, carpet and floor.
Had to take both front seats and carpet out and dry everything out with portable heaters over 2 days...ugh!
The sponges under the carpet was the longest to dry up..
for those that don't have a compressor, thicker weed whacker line works well. Put a lighter on the end of the line to melt it into a very small bulb (about the size of a BB)
You beat me to it Sean. I have been using WW line for years in all my sun roofs. Just insert it until it comes out of the end of the drain line, hook a drill to it and spin at a slow rate. Air pressure can blow the drain tube off if it is really plugged. I first snake it dry, squirt the tube with a turkey baster/small tube attached/warm water. Then snake and rinse. If you squirt first, the line is full of nasty goop when pulled out and is a PITA.
By the way, Range Rovers are worse than the tub drain with a wife with long hair, and are far more prone to clogging than Jags.
Where do the end of the 4 drain lines exit the vehicle?
The four wheel wells if I remember correctly.
Could someone please post a pic of the rear drain holes? My mechanic and I have looked and couldn't locate them. There are just no holes on the rear like there are in the front.
Had my left side drain of the sunroof completely blocked with sand dust. Had to get both front wheel well out to find out where the exit is and flush left side from the exit hole using a syringe and a tiny tube to get deep upwards into it . There seems to be a connector on the bottom of the A - pillar . Any ofter fiddling with it for 20 min I tried again from the top and it is free again

Its surprising how effective a bit of dust can be at blocking sunroof drains.
A few squirts of simple green at the trough drain seemed to help prior to mechanical cleaning and flushing.
Several ways to skin this cat.
Different approaches to the problem work for different folks depending on resources and capabilities.
Cleaning sunroof drains should be on everyone's list of preventative maintenance items.

There is no connector at the bottom of the A-pillar, but the exit of the drain into the front wheel wells is poorly executed by Jaguar, because the drain tube is bent to almost 90 degrees and thus gets clogged even more. Furthermore, the diameter of the tube used for the drain is too small, although the roof mechanism would permit a bigger diameter tube. The rear drains have been executed better, without sharp bends on the way to the rear wheel wells.
In my car, the front drains were clogged, but the rear ones were free.

I have looked, but I have no picture from when I cleaned the drains on my car. It is true, the drains at the rear are not immediately visible like the ones in the front wheel well. They run along the C-Pillar (near to the rear window), and as that ends behind the wheel well, the exits of the drains are more to the inner side of the car near the exhausts and are partially covered by the exhaust heat shields.
The next time I have the car on the lift I can take some pictures, but unfortunately that will only be in a few weeks.
