The 2006 XJR that I bought had a "clear bra" consisting of several clear self adhesive thin plastic pieces installed.

I washed and waxed the car today, but I could not buff the wax on the bra with a micro fiber cloth.

Anyone else have this on their car that can tell me how best to clean and shine the bra? I am tempted to peel it off, but it has taken several dings from rocks, so it appears to do what it is supposed to do, but I would like to clean it and make it shine.

 

I had a clear bra on my last car and this was the official approved cleaner/wax for it. I used it just on the clear bra but it's also safe to use on paint: http://amzn.to/2epNWYm, I would not advise removing it unless it is really damaged and no longer working. Try cleaning it with that first and see how you make out.
