Climate Control issue, 2004 XJ8
Hey all! We had our first cold snap here in Virginia and noticed a weird issue with the heat in my 2004 XJ8. I did a search, but didn't see anything similar posted.
After the car warmed up I turned on the heat and the car wasn't getting warm. I started messing with vents and settings and it seems cool air is coming from the driver's side vents and rear vent and hot air is coming from the passenger side vents. Even with dual off and both sides set for 80 degrees, only the passenger side blows hot.
Anybody have similar issues or know of an issue with this? Thanks in advance!

This is a well known fault as Patrick has said it's due to a partially blocked heater
core.
You will need to drop and maybe remove glove box to replace it.
I have never had to do this job but I would suggest you leak check before replacing
the glove box since the fittings on the core (in and out) look pathetic.
