Today I got the dreaded CEL shining. My car seemed to work fine so I pulled out my code reader and got : 0167 Lost Communication With Vehicle Immobilizer Module. Oh great WTH is that I thought. Anyway, I cleared out the code and so far, it's OK. My fear is that it may a warning that my battery is giving out. I'll have to monitor it for a while.

I'm pretty sure I got the UO167 code which was the lost communication with vehicle immobilizer module code. P0167 is an O2 sensor heater malfunction or words to that effect. I was also getting some beeps when I turned the car off. That lead me to believe it was the immobilizer module issue.

Thanks Jim,
I saw a thread on one of the Range Rover boards and it appears to be a random software glitch or an early warning on a battery. Worst case, I get a Bosch from Pep Boys for around $150 or so. The car runs fine though. I found out that my wife had it up to 85 mph in a 50 mph while I was at work
. I may have to restrict her to the Audi as punishment.
