Coil conversion on Super V8, rear seat removal and value of parts
Hello,
I have decided to convert my Super V8 to coils using the kit.
I have two questions:
1. How to I remove the rear seat to get to the module? I have the fancy power rear seat which is not covered in the instructions. Maybe there is no difference?
2. Ball park on value for used compressor and air springs in working order? Should I just send the air springs back for the cores or is there a market for this stuff? I figure why not take them off while they still work in case someone can use them and I can pocket a few dollars to offset the coil conversion costs.

you could just wait a few months until someone blows a shock, and then just sell them one of your good ones. Unless you need the cash pronto, there will always be a need for those shocks in the future. For used air springs, i'd price them a bit under ebay parts, as usually the salvage seller will warranty them at least upon arrival and initial install...and you may not.

Oh, I don't care about the money, I am all about helping the enthusiast conmunity. With all my other cars I sell the parts well below market (I sell a lot of land rover stuff and have a house full of it and some lotus left overs -- nothing like a business just helping people with resto projects and getting rid of stuff I don't need) I just wanted to see if there is some market worth keeping them as opposed to returning the cores. If they are worth more than $200 and the compressor is worth something I will do the swap now, if not I will wait until a failure and then do it. With all the stuff I sell I have the no questions asked return policy. You get it and you wish you did not, just send it back and I will give you your money back or whatever it takes to make you happy. :-)
Thanks you.
Thanks you.
