Hi elic9
It would be better if you kept to a single thread so we can all keep up with what is going on.
Now, let me say firstly and humbly, I have no doubt your mechanics are excellent, but with modern up-market cars like this a huge amount depends on "The Knowledge", i.e. experience of that marque of car. Maybe your guys have this.
It might be helpful if you tell us what work has been done so far to get the car back 'up and running'. Normally with cars with complex engine controls, it is the sensors that fail, not the ECU 'brain', yet you seem to be implying you have had a new ECU fitted.

I am sorry and I do not know what a ECU is.
The car had a new transmission a year ago and has another year warranty.
That is the latest...I think I need a brand new battery and I have a green key that was not tried to start it yet..maybe it is this key, which is the valet key {right}??
thanks..

Yes the "green" key is the valet key and should start the car. As for the battery Jags are very sensitive to electrical issues caused by low battery voltage and your battery should show voltage of at least 12.6 or more volts when checked with a multi-meter attached to the battery's terminals. (A fully charged GOOD battery will normally show 13.5-13.6 volts when tested that way). Still that should not keep the car from starting even if it does cause some of the sensors to malfunction.
Without further info it's almost impossible to give you any useful information as what to try so tell us what exactly does happen.
Does the key cause the car to do anything?
Do the dash lights come on?
Does it crank but not start?
Was this key working without problems before the latest event?
What was the latest event that caused you to go to a mechanic.
What warning lights on the dash stay on...if any?
ETC.

Guys, She started a new thread in the X308 forum. I don't know if she will post here again.
