Condensation inside both right lights

The big cover on the back of the headlights that is held in place by a metal clip has a rubbery/foam gasket around it. What happened on my car is the gasket gets chewed up or falls out because it is so fiddley to get the cover back in due to lack of space. I too the gasket off mine and refitted it and the lights have been dry ever since. If you look at where the front wing is bolted on you will see if any rain runs down it it lands directly on that cover, so if it's not water tight it fills you headlight with water.

Sorry for still talking about this problem, a question please.
I have removed the top shield over the front grill and my question is can I remove this clip at rear of the headlight without having to drop the bumper?
I understand it's has reduced access but just wondering if the fix from the top is doable.
Reading suggests this seal is damaged and needs to be re-sealed and will this fix both lights.
Many thanks..

You can remove the clip (which you just unclip at the top, it cannot be removed completely) and the cover, but it is a very tight fit and you risk damaging the earthing points. That's why many of us prefer to remove the bumper cover, which is an easy job if the screws are not rusty.
