Considering an 05 L, opinions?

Hi all, I found a local, 1 mile away amazingly, 1 owner 80k 2005 L model, no GPS. Asking 12.9k and firm at 12k which sounds about 20-30% over market. I've not seen it yet and it seems like a garage queen in our little old lady town in FL (though it is a few hundred feet form the saltspray on the beach here). I'd love a VDP or even a Super but the white base L would work for my purposes too. Hang in there for a more lavish model or does this one seem in line $$wise?

NAV and BT was included. you can find similar VDP from private party at 8k on Dallas craigslist.
My 2 cents.

I know what you mean - that price is a bit on the high side. But it's exactly what I paid for my 2004 XJ8 with 56K miles (bought in December 2014 in northern Illinois). Hard to advise you to go for it or wait. I test drove an L prior to buying my normal wheelbase model and loved it. I don't think you give up anything performance-wise, and the extra legroom in back is a huge bonus, even though I rarely have passengers.

If you find yourself wanting a Super or a VDP, you might just want to wait and keep looking. Getting rear A/C, a longer wheel base, and those beautiful wood picnic trays are super snazzy. Riding in the back, as an adult, is REALLY comfortable. If its optioned with a rear entertainment system... well, even better!
