There's a leak allright (or water pump is failing/weeping), you just need to find it, or have a shop find it for you. Often, the more difficult spots are down low around the engine, not easily found w/o getting it on a lift. if its asking you for coolant every couple days...thats significant, and if you're not careful, you'll find yourself out on a long trip, or hot day, and could overheat it. Be very careful. The gauge may not 'rise' and give you indication you're getting close.

thanks, but this is the deal. i bought the car a couple of months ago, i really love the way the car feels , i think it has potential, anyway when i bought it it had a coolant leek, and the coolant sensor was sticking. my mechanic changed the sensor and sealed the leak, or so i thought, now i keep putting coolant in every couple a days and sometimes the low oil pressure light comes on for a few seconds, but only when i start up. i keep looking for coolant on the ground but no luck, also every time i pull up to my mechanic he says he smells coolant but thats it he has no reason.he told me he has no big experience on jags. I really want to get this car right,i need a mechanic who knows jags and is close to the darby or philly area. open to suggestions. thanks
