Default Correct route for EPB cable

Hi, does anyone have a picture or diagram of the route that the parking brake cable takes and if it attaches to any of the suspension arms please?.
I have an issue where the cable has rubbed through the air shock and caused it to leak.
I can't see where the cable can be routed other than where it is at present where it is also wearing on the drop link which will also cause a problem I think.
It's the non Brembo setup on an 03 car.
Thanks.

I suggest that if you take some pictures of the cable route we may be able to confirm if is correct.

That pointy thing , from what I remember when I did mine the cable goes ....from your picture...the outside of that ....the cable has a big protector because that pointy thing wears the cable....I did find a picture for the correct routing but can’t find it now ........I think there’s a service bulletin if you can find them .it’s a bad design Jaguar should have rethought that one ......

Thanks, yes that sort of makes sense but the cable is too tight to go on the outside of it, I wonder if the " pointy thing" ( technical term obviously!) Has at some point been fitted back to front. There would be a chance then that it might fit.
I will see if I can pull up the bulletin when I get chance.

My Jag is the same vintage as yours and that arrow shape pointing upwards is not familiar.

Have you had a look at the cable on the other side of the vehicle?

I believe that the cable is in the right position, mine sits on a pad on the top of that drop link.

It looks correct also because it has and extra cover in that area( which is also starting to tear)

however it certainly should not be wearing a hole in the cover of the strut

From memory the other side has the same "pointy bit " with the cable in a similar fashion but when I can I will double check .
