In Dash Clock does not illuminate

The in-dash clock on my 04 XJ8 works but no longer lights up. I've read on this forum about replacing the bulb on the 308 model XJs, but don't see similar results for the 350 models. Is it possible to replace the bulb in the clock or do I have to purchase the in-dash clock as a unit? I have instructions for replacing the clock itself, but don't see any mention of a part number to replace just the bulb. I'm also a little hesitant about messing with the dash as I don't want to break anything. Before I dive in are there any gotchas I should keep an eye out for or is it fairly straightforward?

Thought I'd follow-up - The in-dash clock does provide for a replacment bulb - I got mine from the local Jag dealer for $7 - part #02C2C3441.
I dove into the dash area this morning and it was fairly straightforward removing the finish panels around the instrument cluster and passenger airbag. The center registers can be removed with a few screws and you can pull it out just far enough to figure out how to disconnect the clock wiring and the clock itself from the register unit. Instructions for all of this can be found at alldatadiy.com. The most difficult part was putting the instrument cluster finish panel back on - make sure all of the clips are in the dash (not still on the back of the panel itself from removal) and that they are straight. Took me a couple trys to figure this out - but when it went on right it only required a firm push, no need to pound or exert alot of force. The whole project took about 1 hr and 15 mins, but I was taking it slow and easy.
I figure I saved at least $75 - $100 compared to having it replaced by the dealer and wanted to provide the information for others interested in the same. Okay - those of you who rebuild engines or replace the air suspension on the XJ can stop snickering now
