Dash trim panel removal

Dash trim panel removal
Can anyone give me advice or instructions about removing a couple of the dash panels. Specifically, the panel below and to the left of the steering column (left hand drive). Not the one directly below the steering column, but the one to the left of that. Does it just pull out? Unscrew? And also, the panel that is under the dash, above the foot kickspace and kind of over the brake pedal area. This one feels like it is felt-covered cardboard or something like that. This second panel seems to have the courtesy light attached to it. I didn't find any instructions for removing these in the JTIS, at least so far. Thanks.

The screws holding the the felt cover are just plastic clips with a central pin which
you pull out (if I remember correctly).
If you use a small mirror and torch you will see them easily.
Once you have removed the cover lie on your back with
a torch and your head near the brake pedal (not easy for baby boomers) and look
upwards.

I think I need to have a detachable head! Or a very small drone. Otherwise, I'm not sure where my body has to go, to put my head near the brake pedal. Maybe remove the front seat?
