Welcome to the forum snib3790, when you get a moment stop by our new members area and introduce yourself ==>> New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

Already a discussion going on this topic ==>> https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...please-136362/

I've moved your post to the X350 section, your car being a 2005 is an X350, not an X351

Hi snib3790,

Welcome to the Jaguar Forums.

When you are sitting in the driver's seat, the OBDII port is near your right knee, behind the knee bolster. To access it, feel for the recess in the flat panel under the bolster. It's so low that it's difficult to actually get your head under it to view it, so it's easiest to just hold the OBDII connector with the longest side toward the engine and insert it into the port by feel.

Cheers,

Don

Default Thanks

I found it and used my Actron OBD II to read codes. Now I think I need a new thread on how to choose the most recommended Jaguar diagnostic scan tool. I'll attempt that.

Hi snib3790,

As you've probably discovered, your Actron can probably only read the P or Powertrain fault codes. To read the C, B and U codes you need something like the expensive AutoEnginuity system with the additional Jaguar module, or the far less expensive dealer-level Jaguar Land Rover SDD program and an interface cable like the Mongoose clones that many of us are using:

JLR Mangoose SDD V139 for Jaguar and Land Rover Support till 2014 Year

There are plenty of threads already on this topic. Below are links to just two of them:

Cheers,

Don
