hi there 4r, probably the reason for the lack of replies often comes with a thread with too many questions or topics. It often seems like a very long reply, and members will delay getting back to you with a full answer...as most don't want to just respond to one or two.
that was my first thought when I read your thread title...I said to myself...crap, this guy wants to know what are the differences between four different model years...and you do know, that each year, a manufacturer is required to change like 10 or 15 different things right? Anyway, the title is a bit misleading so that may have deflected a few people way.
If I may suggest, editing your original post title, and maybe stick with only a couple items. I think some of those can be found just by searching out used car ads, or even a review of the particular model year XJR...surely it would tell you if something like the DVD nav is standard on the car...which I do believe it was.
on every XJR.

2. 06'-07' have bluetooth standard, was optional in 04'-05'
3. NAV optional in 04' was standard in 05'-07'
4. They eat tires, brakes and have the same common issues as all other XJ8's. (ie.. air suspension faults, leaky coolant reservoirs.. etc..)
5. XJR's are typically pretty well loaded out.. not many options other than rear seat DVD systems and a few other things.

no, no XJ8 or XJR has bi-Xenons. After 05 they deleted the rub strip and replaced the orange side turn signal with a clear round version. They also did away with the chrome surrounds around the front and rear windshields.
