Just got the XJ8L back from suspension and other misc. servicing at reputable local repair shop. The main display panel that shows climate, radio, etc. is quite dim in open sunlight. It has decent display when out of the sun (in the carport). Any suggestions short of taking it by the repair shop? Thanks.

 

Have you checked Menu...Brightness/Contrast. It can be stuck in night mode regardless of sunlight.

 

Issue resolved. Brightness / Contrast got changed to a dimmer setting during repair. Easy fix. Thanks for your response. Bt.
