Default Do I need new valve cover gaskets?
Are new valve cover gaskets a "must" after removing and replacing?
or, can I re-use existing (maybe with addition of gasket sealer (?)

At their age, if it was my car I'd just replace. Not worth the hassle of doing the job twice because they're bound to start leaking soon anyway. Check Rockauto, they have complete sets for ~$50.
