Does my 04 VDP have Sport or Comfort springs?
We picked up an 04 VDP earlier this summer, and I was wondering whether it has Sport or Comfort springs. It does have a button on the center console to switch between Sport and Comfort, and swithing it to Sport does noticeably stiffen the suspension.

Someone may correct me on this but I believe the Sport button only raises shift points. I don't believe it firms up the air springs at all. I also think that the springs are all 'comfort' on VDP's and the 'sport' springs are reserved for the XJR only.
Experts... Please feel free to harp in and either confirm or deny these assumptions.

First the sport on off button just changes the shift points. There is NO effect on the suspension.
ALL long body XJ8's EVEN the super v8's have comfort suspension.
All the R's came with sport suspension, and in theory you could order a short body with sport suspension but the naturally aspirated 4.2, but I've never seen one.
Take care,
George
