Door lock - "stuck" unlocked
Recently the rear (LH) door lock recently jammed and cannot be locked, trying manually, key, or any other way available on my 2006 XJR.
Resolved this by removing the rear door actuator/latch, cleaning the latch and electrical connectors and using some WD40. Replaced the latch and it is working order.
I did not find a post on removing door panel and actuator... so here it is.
The DIY:
Tools needed: T25 torx, T30 torx, Phillips screwdriver, Standard screwdriver, torque wrench, blue loctite.
Time: 2 hours (I’m slow...)
Remove the door trim panel
Installation is the reverse of above. Use the loctite and torque 7nm on the 3 screws that hold the latch to the door.

My rear door lock did the same some time back - did not work for me to clean and lubricate, still did not work - dealer replaced it at a cost of 520 - 400parts and 120labor -I have heard about the locks going bad before it is supposedly the micro switch that gives up I was told by dealer.
