Default Door Lock Actuators

Has anyone ever replaced door lock actuators on an X350/X258 before? My driver side front and rear doors don’t unlock with the fob. They make a sound but no action. Also, they make unlocking/locking sound every time I shift from parking to drive. I sense a Mickey Mouse job in the past somewhere along it’s lifetime……

Any words of wisdom or encouragement?

I agree that some modification may have occurred. I have an ex-Japan Honda that locks its doors, but only when the speed reaches about 10 mph. The locking mechanisms in the Jag are mostly plastic and some have found broken parts through wear and age. I would open the door panels of the defective doors and look at the mechanisms. They should not lock just by going to drive. See if the dash lock button has a different effect to the driver's door lock lever beside the handle.

With SDD you can program whether the car locks at drive or not. I switched it of, as germany isn't mexico city and I hate being locked in the car in case of accidents.
If you cannot open one of the doors after clicking the fob, you must get the door locking actuator out.
Often the microswitch is broken.
There was a pictured instruction how to open the door somewhere in this forum.
