Default Drive shaft parts

Has anyone found a supplier for the flex connectors on both ends of the driveshaft, and the center hanger bearing for 2004 XJ8 Base? Dealers will only sell the complete assembly. Thanks Phil

Is this what you need ?

It is an S-type part, but I believe it fits the XJ. As for the bearing, I'm not sure what you can get, but hopefully others here will chime in.

That's what it looks like. I guess the best thing to do is call to make sure the parts interchange. Thank you Very much

Default Driveshaft coupling

I have a 2006 VDP and was told by my dealer that he could not order just the coupling, I needed to order the driveshaft assembly at $1500.00. After some amount of research I found the couplings on Ebay UK. They are called Propeller Shaft Jurid Couplings by the Brits. I ordered two couplings and the total cost including shipping was $90.00, thanks to the weak pound sterling.

Here's the vehicles it works on:
JAGUAR PART NUMBER: C2C12747

PART NUMBER ON UNIT: GAG03-001

S-Type 2002-on (VIN Range M45255 through to M99999, N00001 through to N99999)

XF 2007-on (please check part number on your old unit)

(to find your VIN number see the last six characters of your VIN / Chassis number.)*

I know this is an old thread but the part number cited GAG03-001 is not the same dimensions as the Jag part number. The one cited is 105mm x 35mm x 12mm and Jag’s 110mm x 38mm x 12mm. GAP01-003 is the correct measurement as is GAC02-004.

Well I’ve finally disassembled mine and I’ve quite a paradox. The ones I’ve removed are stamped SGF GAG03-001 and measure 107x30x12, the new ones I received are 110x35x12 and needless to say don’t fit….

If there is a driveshaft specialist in your area, you might look into that. We had a new driveshaft made for my sons Acura, with all USA parts, with center bearing totally rebuild-able for cheap. I'd have to look to see what the bill was, but it was a fraction of the OEM. . So long as it fits the space, bolts in, & is precision balanced, this is a good option IMHO. You may also consider one from a breaker, there is a Yard near here that specializes in X350/ X358. parts.
