Drivetrain Vibration and Jurid

Drivetrain Vibration and Jurid
First post on this forum. My 2003 x350 has a vibration at about 1800 RPM that I have determined to be driveshaft related. It has a frequency of 33Hz and you can also see the 2 and 3 harmonics. I recorded iton my cellphone then did a spectrum analysis using the FREEWARE called AUDACITY for music manipulation. I took a photo of the JURID here

Hope the link works
Now compared to my old XJ40 and X300 it seems to be missing the nuts on the driveshaft end and also the bolts should be alternating in direction as indicated by the little arrows on the jurid. What about the nuts ?? Are they missing or does it not have any ??
It was serviced with a new jurid just before I purchased it !!!
Thanks
Terry

I had similar vibrations and other symptoms and it turned out to be the transmission mount itself. I also first suspected the jurid couplings, but they appeared to be in good condition. I replaced the transmission mount because I had a vibration at idle, and it ended up curing all my driveline vibrations.
Here is the thread:

If you have any of the symptoms I listed, I would suggest replacing the transmission mount first. It's a lot easier than replacing the jurids.

Terry,
I think that there are not any nuts. I think the housing the bolts go through has the threads and what you see and show in your picture is just the bolts where they came through the housing.
I'll be corrected if I'm wrong.
I also have a vibration and I believe I'm going to do the Transmission mount replacement, all else looks fine........
Cheers

Thanks guys. I took it back to the workshop and they confirmed that it is all as designed. I did note though that the bolts from the front end had hex marks on the flange, ie they were originally 3 facing forward and 3 facing aft. I will change them back and see if that is an issue. You never know, only a few grams canmake all the difference at 1800 RPM. I will post my progress. Cheers Terry
