Default electric problem with left turn signal

i have a 2004 VDP. it has developed a strange electrical problem. I have installed new earth points by the headlights. i cleaned all of the earth points in the boot. new relays, swapped out tail light assemblies. all fuses look good. here is the current situation.

headlights turned off:
turn signals work.

headlights turned on.
right signal works.
left signal
bizarre flashing. All lights flash. Right side RED LED tail light flash. License plate lights flash. no back up light on left side. (left side bulb very dim flash)

Put in reverse with headlights on:
a/c fan stops working.
Back up light on left side does not work.
Left turn signal bizarre flashing. All lights flash. Right side RED LED tail light flash. License plate lights flash. no back up light on left side. (left side bulb very dim flash)
Get error message on dash of left turn signal failure.

any helpful hints would be appreciated.

There have been problems in the past with the stalks on the steering wheel.

There is a cassette which is easily removable and the wiring is crammed in.

They might be worth inspecting for shorts etc.

Also faults with fuses that look good are not unknown.

I suggest that you change relevant fuses for new ones

Jeez mate, looks like you are limited to driving straight ahead, in daylight.
What can it be?
Earth points. (tried that?) Perhaps a multimeter across the earth points?
Connectors (might need re-plugging, can have the same flakey problems as earth points)
Indicator stalk. A known weak point, but usually the headlights going out on using the indicator. Wouldn't explain reversing or taillight problems
Computers! A long shot which is at least free might be to disconnect the battery, which resets the computers to some extent.

90% of computer problems are connectors. Just sayin', as a retired computer tech.

Exclamation update.... must be short is trunk lock

update. rechecking fuses ect. i noticed something very interesting............

with the trunk open the right side led brake light goes OFF. close the trunk and it comes on. so it must be in the trunk locking mechanism.

update. independent shop had it for a week an looked at it between other repairs. no luck. does not think it is the trunk loom (harness) i tend to agree. that seems to be a flaw in the prior model years. i believe they fixed that with the newer model roll out.
going to purchase a new used computer for the boot (trunk).
he is thinking take it to jag dealer cuz the have better access to scanners for the x350.
he is thinking ground problem somewhere. (earth point). i did the new ones under the hood and cleaned and dressed the 6 in the boot.
he also spoke that the jag dealer could flash the computers.
at a loss as to what to do but am in love with this auto.

update@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
got back from mechanic. he gave up. now the trunk actuator does not work at all.
after driving home about 30 minutes. i replaced all tail lights and found i had the wrong ones in; i had the kind with the side poles even. it needs the staggered one. it worked. i felt like an idiot. problem resolved.

next day::::: problem it totally back with the addition of a non responding trunk lock. you can hear it receive a pulse and try to do something one time then that is it. does nothing. i took out the trunk liner and looked at the loom. it looks fine and license plate and trunk light operate.

why would the problem resolve AFTER a 30 minute drive the return?
