Default Electronic Paking Brake Cable Chafe

Dear Forum,

Does anyone else have the following problem?
My EPB Cable is chafing on the threaded stud protruding above my Stabiliser Bar Drop Link Ball Joint; the thread is literally trying to saw through the protective sleeve on the cable? It is sat on top of this stud when the suspension is at rest? I have tried adding further chafe protection and tying the cable up away from it, but to no avail?

Any suggestions, please?

Cut the protruding thread off with a Dremel or fit plastic or rubber hose over thread

and allow it to protrude to keep cable higher.

Use cable ties to keep cable away or a series of cable ties.

Thanks Meirion1, that's what I thought too...Just wanted to know that it is a common problem before butchery!

Tempting Xalty, but I have no desire to replace the EPB cable when it eventually parts!
