Is the end near for the XJ?

Hey All,
I have been hearing and reading rumor that the Xj is to be discontinued after 2009. Is it true? When I was at the dealership yesterday I asked why no 09s on the lot and he said jaguar had yet to deliver any to the US because of the poor economy. They had stopped production of the flagship until the 08s were purchased.
I also heard that it is more of a re-design than elimination. (like the XF replaced the S).
I don't want to "fuel the rumor mill fire" so someone please set me straight.
Jeff

I seriously doubt if we'll see the end of the XJ name. I believe there's definitely a new XJ coming , and it will follow along in the new styling paradigm seen in the XF and XK. As to all the artists renditions shown here and there (like the one in the Autoweek link), they all seem to be stretched versions of either Jaguar concepts or the XF. The rumor mills abound with this sort of thing and in the end, when it shows up at the Geneva Auto Show in a year (or somewhere else some other time), we'll know what it looks like. One thing for sure though, it won't look any more like the ones we're driving now than the XF looks like the S-type. And after some one leases one for a couple of years, maybe I'll be able to afford one.
