Default Engine/SC cover on or off?

I have kept my engine/supercharger cover off during the summer to help dissipate the heat. I like the look of the cover, but feel it may keep the engine hotter in the summer months.

Any one else do the same?

Not sure it makes any difference?

I have a 2005 STR and have driven with it off and on for extended periods and I can't tell any difference besides the increase in noise when it's off.

I think that's the main function of the cover anyway. Noise control.

It probably doesn't or it may help a few degrees. I figured the cover and insulation may keep in heatsoak a little longer.

I forget who but someone on here has actually taken thermal measurements with and without. The cover was shown to significantly help with heat soak.

Wow, I'm surprised. Guess the cover will go back on!
