hello all,my 1998 xj8 has had a coolant leak that i cant find, i have to add every couple days. two days ago the fail safe light came on , the car lost power and it stutters around corner when going about 30-50 mph. does anyone have an answer for me. thanks

 

Hi Juggernaut. You're on the wrong forum for your car, this one is for the aluminium "X350" design XJ8 (and XJ6 in UK) from 2003. However, you could try searching for coolant leaks plus your model number to see what you get. The plastic thermostat "tower" on the V8 top is notorious for cracking, as is the coolant header tank
