Default Finally found the Spring Nuts!

After almost a year of poking around, including on this forum, I finally have the part number for the spring nuts that hold the fender liners, the lower radiator cover and the belly pan in place. See photos below ( I included the bolt also because those are usually rusted away too) They cost me more than $6 each at the Paramus JLR Dealer but I have been to two other dealers who had no clue so I figured they earned it. Also they are made in France (?) so they are really fancy... (eye roll)

For some reason I can't find ANY reference to these on any parts list.

Jeff

I fear you may have been delayed for no reason a quick look at the link below would have got you the part number. I am surprised you haven't used as it is a good place to get part numbers and to find out if parts are still available. jag parts UK

I wouldn't beat up on anyone too bad about that. Some of the parts listings aren't all that intuitive. Oddly, the spring nut is listed with the bumper assembly for the early cars, but not the X358 listing, so I probably would have missed it if I was looking. It is not included in the wheel arch liners or the undertrays. Also, it was good to find the bolt, because both Jaguar Classic Parts and SNG Barratt show that as NLA. At least it lists the bolt as M6x20, so you could source aftermarket replacements if necessary.

I will be honest and say that the jag site was a lot worse a few months back. It would take ages to find a part and it would end up in a really peculiar place. Although I don't think that is a uniquely Jag thing. The number of times I have been in a dealers looking for a part and it takes ages to find!

Default Speed Clips

Around these parts we have always call these things speed clips. They can be found at most any auto parts stores, usually in packs of (5) for less that $5. I just take in the bolt/screw and match it to the gauge board next to the nuts, bolts and screws. Then find the correct blister pack and out I go. After market clips may not look like OEM, but they work just as well.
