Default First Friday night ride in the Big Daddy

Wow man, this VDP is a freaking soft, sweet ride. When you want the power, it's there !!!! And when you want to just cruise, the world just looks at you in envy !!!! I love it !!!!

So we've had the VDP for three days now.

First, the good:

Awesome looking car
Lots of room
BadAss entertainment unit
Comfortable...I could sleep in this car!!!!
Plenty of power
Plush ride.

Now the bad:

Tilt/telescoping feature is not working. I should have checked this when I test drove it, but there was so many other things to test...lol

Air shocks tend to deflate and compressor might be on its last legs, but this is only an issue when the temperature is low. We will probably garage it in my shop which has an overhead shop heater, so I don't think it will be an issue, and if it is, *** it...I'll fix it...😛....I saw the seal for the compressor on another post and I am already looking at the arnott air shocks to replace the OEMs.

The subwoofer does not seem to be working. I can adjust the bass, treble, fader, but when I adjust the subwoofer levels, I get no response, any help here would be appreciated.

And last...and definitely what totally ruins the ride..... That little freaking sunglass storage case squeaks when I'm rolling down the street. I want to rip that thing off !!!!! Any fixes for that??. Lol

Overall, I'm stoked by the ride quality, comfort, and look of this car. I have already contacted a forum member to see if he will have time to fix the steering column issue. Once that gets taken care of....I can start looking at minor mods. Wish me luck.

Before you assume something is wrong, have you located the selector switch down on the left side of the column? Several positions, one of which you can choose to turn the moving pedals/column off.

As far as the sunglass cubby, maybe just a few pieces of foam or rubber tucked around until it shuts up. Couldn't agree more about the car, they are powerful and classy. If your car still has the operator's manual, spend some time going through it. We were still discovering new features on ours 4 months after buying it.

Wink

Yes. Of course I've tried the switch pack on the steering column...what am I stupid???!!!

HAHAHA...I'm kidding with you, but yes...I have tried that...funny thing is, the switch works for the pedals, but not the column. It doesn't even make a motor sound. Weird. I plan to purchase a new switch to see if that is the problem. I have already checked the fuses in the passenger side kicker panel, and they were both good. We purchased a 4 year extended warranty, so maybe it is covered and I can call them in a few months. Hehehe

Now that sunglass cubby !!!! I was hoping there was a more 'permanent' fix. I did think about wedging something in there though...great minds think alike !!!

Well, you are south of the Red River....LOL!

Just kiddin' neighbor. That is strange that the steering column went awol. Does it do anything in the AUTO position? Has it ever moved? Post a pic of that bad boy when you can.

This car is freaking awesome!!!!! So, I got the air strut replaced, and the steering colum fixed. Now to take on that little annoying sunglass holder !!!!!! I took a closer look and there is a screw missing that goes up into the roof. Anyone know how long and what thread size it might be? I don't want to stick any old screw in there that might be too long and poke a freaking hole in a wire or some stupid ****. Once this is fixed, I will be in fat cat heaven !!!! Teehehehehe. Well except for the sub not working. That might need some looking into.
