First trip to the track

The drag strip is so boring. Race for about 15 seconds, sit and wait for 30 minutes to run again. Personally, I prefer the dirt track, but this kitty ain't havin it. So I got to the dragstrip (Maryland International Raceway in Budds Creek, MD) early. I went right through tech and got in line. On my first pass the car hooked up beautifully and turned out a 13.42. Not bad. Not bad at all. My reaction time sucked. It was like .680 or something equally as embarassing. Then I made 2 passes that I'm not gonna count. I couldn't get it to hook up. On the first one it spun so bad that I completely got out of the gas and then eased back into it just to have that right rear tire spin up again with no vehicular propulsion. It was so bad I thought I blew up my trans. My reaction time was awesome (for me) at .107. After dropping my tire pressure and adding a gallon of 103 octane I was able to make it hook up again and cranked out another 13.4. I blew down the track so damn fast I passed not one but TWO mustangs. That felt good. I hate mustangs. They're everywhere down here. I'm gonna stay away from that place for a little while so I can do some mods but what are you guys runnin? What work are you doing? I wanna see 12s.

Hi All,
I have an autocross date set for me and my son-in-law (1999 MB C430) at BIR (Brainerd International Raceway) road course. Should be a blast even in the XJ8....
They have dates each month where you drive your own car.
Racing School - BIR Performance Driving : www.birperformance.com
Question is?
I found a thread about pulling fuses in XK's to fool the limiter, isable the DSC and maybe the instrument cluster so the ECU is fooled thereby bypassing the 200km/hr limiter. (go fast)
Anybody had any experience with this that they can share?
pm me if needed....
