Default Fixed my transmission

It was beginning to stick quite badly when I first started the car up. Though it was worse in cold and damp weather. It would sometimes take me 2 minutes to get it into gear. I also noticed I could hear a click from behind the dash board immediately before it went into gear. I don't know why, but it made me think this was an electrical problem, especially since I had tightened up the bolts under the tunnel when I had the car on jacks.

So I sprayed down inside the lever assembly with electrical contact cleaner. The car goes into gear smooth as silk first time now!

Perfect! Thanks for sharing!

I wonder if this should be a sticky or in the FAQ somewhere, since it's not the first time I've heard of this problem.
