When I find a good supplier for parts I like to pass them along to other members. I was in the market for a new set of Lambswool mats for my '05 VDP and came across Rimmer Brothers Rimmer Brothers - Triumph Car Parts, MG Rover Car Parts, and Land Rover Car Parts and Spares. Being in the UK and I in the US I usually wouldn't have given them a second look but given the difficulty in finding Lambswool LWB, LHD mats I took a peek. With VAT and shipping the cost came to $244 which is by far the lowest price I've ever seen for such an item. I ordered them on Sat 3/19 and they should be here Friday 3/25 which is more than acceptable and that after being back ordered. They were also able to assist by phone in deciphering Jaguar's cryptic color coding. My car is black on black and in the end the consensus was that Flint Gray mats were the way to go. They haven't arrived yet so I'll withhold judgement on that decision but I'm hopeful they are a match. Anyway, as of this moment, I would recommend them. If something changes, I'll amend my post. Hope this helps somebody.
Here is the exact link to the product for my car at least. It says it's for a complete set. It appears to have gone up to $300 since I ordered it last week which is a bit alarming. Still a very good deal I think, hard to say without adding it to my cart and checking out. I'd hate to think I jinxed it! They should be arriving today and I'll update this post with the results.
These are indeed a full set of Lambswool floor mats and the right color to boot. After looking at this transaction on my bank statement I think I need to call them. I see two charges from Rimmer, $348 and $10 which is more than I was expecting. Even if it was a Pound to Dollar snafu, $358 is still a really good price imo.
I bought my SV8 a few months ago, and the previous owner had replaced the lambswool mats with stock mats, but he gave me the brand new lambswool ones with the car. Just decided to put them back in the other day.
Gotta say, these things bring the interior to a whole new level. They just ooze traditional luxury. I love them.
I took my wife and her friend on a 5 hr road trip to a concert. The weather was great so I put the Lambswool in the back with them. They took there shoes off and buried there feet, with an "in-flight "movie, drinks, and a snack. After that, I couldnt get them out.
