Default Front Air Strut Plug Cracked- Need a Replacement

The electrical plug that connects the two wires to the top of the front air strut is cracked. I would would like to replace it with a new or non-broken plug. I have searched the world over for a part number and can find nothing. Last summer I ran into a similar situation with a disintegrated plug on back of the throttle body and was able to trace it back to Ford.plug/pigtail. I would greatly appreciate any assistance in sourcing one.

I feel your pain, replaced that crumbled connector on the throttle body, but the clip is broken on one of my front shocks.
Still works, but it needs pushed back onto the connector, on occasion.

Unfortunately the information JLR provide for Ford-era cars is limited. The best I could find was the equivalent from the later/current XJ X351. Can you check the attached document to see if the connector matches what you need? If so, it is available to buy as YPC802170. Pigtails are 41841145 if needed. Britcar sell both.

Default Loose connection for damper

Does the car show a code when the plug loses contact with the air strut?

Panelhead asked;

Does the car show a code when the plug loses contact with the air strut?

Yes it does, when you push it back into place, it will clear.

Not that big a deal, if that is the only code, for suspension i ever encounter.

Default Good to know

I have a different issue. My passengers side front strut seems to be in “hard” mode. Slow bumps is fine. Smooth as butter. A little faster and it acts like it is a solid.
I have driven in hard default due to leaking air or failing compressor. But that was lowered. This is normal XJR ride height, lower than XJ. But have a sport RMT rebuild in parts pile.
Installing to see if it is a damper failure. No codes on my iCarsolf or a friends expensive scanner. His can set ride height.

Thank you for finding this. This appears to be the same profile as my cracked plug. I have also been in contact with a forum member that has made the conversion to coilover suspension that maybe willing to clip off his unused connector.
