Front Upper control arm /Wishbone ball joint question

So, my 2005 XJ8L needs new front upper control arms. I have ordered the Lemforder (OEM?) control arms from Rock Auto. However, on inspecting them upon delivery, they are lacking the bolt (taper?) that is used to connect the ball join to the wheel.
In reviewing pictures of ball joints as well as control arms, all of them seem to have the bolt already inserted into the ball joint.
I am not doing the replacement myself but will be having it done by a mechanic. I don't want to mess up the process by not delivering the correct parts.
So, is there a separate part number for the bolt, and if so, does anyone know what it would be? Would this be a standard type of product, or something I need to source at my Jag dealer?
Also, on the 350 series, does the front shock need to be removed in order to remove the front upper control arm? I think I have seen mixed posts about that, but I hope to be able to provide useful guidance to the folks who will be working on my car.
Thanks for any help.

The ball joint contained in the upper control arm connects to the vertical link, not to the wheel. To which wheel are you referring?
If you do not already have it, you should obtain the Workshop Manual for the vehicle from eBay or other Internet vendor as the process is outlined there.
In order to remove the upper control arm to body bolts, the strut assembly must be out of the way.
